Jon Palle Buhl was founded in 1927 by J. Hartvig Jacobsen, an advocate of the Supreme Court of Denmark and a Doctor at Law. The law firm soon took up an eminent position in the legal field in Copenhagen.

The firm took its name from Jon Palle Buhl, an advocate of the Supreme Court who joined the firm in 1943 and practiced until 1997.

During its more than 90 years of existence, the Law Firm has trained and employed a very significant number of attorneys in a wide range of legal cases. Today, Jon Palle Buhl runs a modern law firm in the field of business law, litigation, and dispute resolution.
